The problem is not just espn


The ACC media set the stage of expectations with the preseason ACC standings. And currently #3 and 5 are on top of the Atlantic and #3,4, 5 are on top of Coastal (based on preseason media votes).

So that just feeds the narrative that the “best” ACC teams are not very good. But in reality, they just completely misjudged which teams would be the strongest this year. And for once, the Coastal is looking much stronger top to bottom.

As for the SEC, it’s hard for anyone to turn down big money from big games. Part of it is on the ACC. We have to start winning more. But nobody knows for certain until the new media contacts are negotiated for CFP, B10 and PAC
